How to use
Generic Flomax (Tamsulosin) should be taken orally once a day (unless directed otherwise by your doctor) and swallowed whole. Take the first dose at bedtime to minimize the chances of dizziness or fainting. After the first dose, take your regularly scheduled dose 30 minutes after the same meal each day. To get the best results, you should take this medication at approximately the same time on a daily basis. If you have not taken this drug for several days, contact your doctor to re-establish your dosing schedule.
Overdose
In case of an overdose contact your local poison control center. If the patient has collapsed or stopped breathing, contact the emergency services.
Missed dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the medicine at the next regularly scheduled time. Do not take extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.
Notes
Do not share this medication with others, since they may have a problem that is not effectively treated by this drug.

How does Generic Flomax (Tamsulosin) work?
Generic Flomax (Tamsulosin) blocks the effects of alpha-1 receptors, which can be found in various parts of the body. This relieves the muscle cells in the prostate and bladder neck and causes the muscles to relax. As a result, the urine flow is less obstructed.
What is the recommended dosage for Generic Flomax (Tamsulosin)?
The recommended dosage is either 0.4mg or 0.8mg once a day after the same meal. It is important to take this medicine at approximately the same time on a daily basis.
